Shoemaker Plumbing began in 1924 named The Plumber but was shortly changed to City Plumbing Company. When materials became in short supply during the pre-WWII era "Granpa" Shoemaker went to work at Hendricks Air Base (now the Sebring Regional Airport) for the war effort.

Dad reopened the business in 1949 naming it Ted Shoemaker Plumbing. In 1974, I (Paul Shoemaker) went to work with Dad and the company changed to Ted Shoemaker & Son Plumbing. In 1994, I bought the company and the name changed again to Shoemaker Plumbing Inc. giving the company over one hundred years in the plumbing experience.
